I put together the basics of this book in the late 1990s and it was published by Earnshaw Books in 2008. The concept, a pot-pourri of words and images which bring to life the history of a city without any or much in the way of commentary, has since been extended to half a dozen other cities,mand I hope it can make the leap to the digital world.
